Debbie Reynolds was an American entertainer, actress, singer and businesswoman, best known for her role as Kathy Selden in the 1952 classic film Singin' in the Rain. Reynolds was also the mother of the late actress and writer Carrie Fisher.
Reynolds had a long and successful career in show business, spanning over 60 years. She received an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in 1964 for her role in The Unsinkable Molly Brown and was the recipient of a lifetime achievement award from the Screen Actors Guild in 2015.
