The husband of British broadcaster Kate Garraway has shown signs of improvement in his battle against COVID-19. Derek Draper, who was admitted to hospital in March after testing positive for the virus, is said to have been taken off a ventilator and is now breathing on his own. However, he remains in an induced coma and is said to be seriously ill. Garraway has spoken of her hope that he will recover, and of her gratitude for the care he has received.
